Surf Film Competition

The competition allows you to express what the National Trust means to you as a surfer and how the Trust is involved in a surfers life. ‘We’re on the front row of a surfer’s daily life – managing some of the world’s most unique and important habitats in a 760 mile stretch of coastline,’ says National Trust Water Sports Coordinator and former British pro surfer Robyn Davies.

The National Trust is a partner in the London Surf Film Festival hosted at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith. The Trust is specifically the festival’s environmental partner, presenting ‘The Shorties contest’. This is a category for film entries of up to five minutes in length that explore all aspects and angles of surfing and surf culture through documentary, stop-frame, animation or anything in between. ‘The Shorties contest’ is open exclusively to filmmakers from or based in Britain and Ireland. We are offering you a chance to create the trailer for this category and have your film shown at the film festival.
